Jennifer Yu of Bella Mia Bride in San Jose will be donating the dresses for the other most important ladies: The Moms! The mother of the bride and the mother of the groom will be stylishly outfitted with dresses of their choice from designer JADE COUTURE.
Each Mother will receive a gift certificate to use in the store, valued at $350 a piece. The total value of this donation is $700.00.
Giving Back
Jennifer is joining the Dream Team because she feels “…it’s a great way to get involved and give back to the community.”. Jennifer has always been paaionate about community giving, as previously exemplified when she held the first annual Military Bridal Gown Giveaway – where 28 lucky Military Brides to be were given free wedding gowns by Bella Mia Bride. “The experience was amazing and inspirational,” says Jennifer.
“I’m honored to be able to offer our support to another deserving couple through this contest,” Jennifer said. “I truly believe those of us in the wedding industry are lucky and blessed to be able to be a part of someone’s truly once in a lifetime special day. A wedding brings together two individuals, their families, and starts to build a foundation in the community.”.
How Did Jennifer Get Her Start?
Jennifer has been in love with planning events and weddings since she was a little girl watching her mom entertain at their home for every holiday of the year. It eventually led Jennifer to start her own business as an event & wedding planner in 2003 (JLY Designs in the Bay Area.)
In 2008, Jennifer was given the opportunity to purchase Bella Mia Bride, and she thought it was the perfect marriage of her “passion for fashion” and “love of weddings and events”. Together Jennifer is building a boutique that is “young and hip for the bride, and pampering for Mother’s and guests and a “one stop shop for your wedding needs”.”.
No matter what size or body type, Jennifer says “Every woman deserves the gown of their dreams. We carry the largest selection of Modest Bridal Gowns & Bridesmaid dresses in Northern California and our Bridal Curves Boutique focuses on big beautiful women.”.
